Shelvo

Terms of Use

Last updated: 4 August 2026 · Türkçe

By using Shelvo you accept these terms. Shelvo is currently in beta; the service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted.

Account

A valid email address is required to open an account. You sign in with a one-time email link or a Google account. You are responsible for the security of your account and for what is done under it.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Shelvo. If the law of your country sets a higher age limit, that age applies. If you are under 18, you should read these terms together with your parent or guardian. Accounts found to be below the age limit are closed and their data is deleted.

Content you upload

Your collection records, photos and lists belong to you. Upload only content you have the rights to.

The permission you grant for your content. So that we can host your uploaded content within the service, process it (for example, generating thumbnails, stripping EXIF) and show it to other users at the visibility you choose, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence. This licence exists solely to operate Shelvo, and extends to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy only so far as they need it to host and process the content on our behalf. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or license it to third parties. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained for the periods set out in our Privacy Policy.

Contributing to the catalog is separate. When you propose a photo for the community catalog and it is approved, that photo becomes a permanent part of the catalog and remains there even if you delete your account — because other collectors' records link to it. This is a separate permission you confirm when submitting a catalog proposal; you are not required to propose catalog photos, and you can use the rest of the service without granting it. If you want an approved catalog photo removed, write to support@shelvo.app.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. The following are prohibited; when detected, the content is removed and the account may be closed:

You may not upload content unless you accept these rules.

Reporting and blocking

Every user profile, public list and photo in the app has a three-dot menu. From there you can:

Our response time for reports

We review reports of objectionable content within 24 hours and take the necessary action. Following the review, content may be removed and an account may be suspended or closed.

Closure of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. If your account is suspended, your content becomes invisible to other users. If you believe the decision was wrong, you can appeal using the address below.

Copyright infringement notice

If you believe content published on Shelvo infringes your copyright, write to support@shelvo.app with the following:

We review the notice within 24 hours; if we find it justified we remove the content and inform the uploading user with the reason. Repeated infringement leads to account closure.

Counter-notice. If you believe your content was removed unfairly, you can object to the same address, explaining which right your content relies on. We conclude objections within 7 days.

Trades and transactions between users

Shelvo is not a marketplace. You can mark your pieces "for trade" and make your lists public; however, Shelvo is not a party to any trade, sale or payment between users. It provides no payment infrastructure, does not act as a shipping intermediary, does not vet the trustworthiness of the other party, and cannot be held responsible for disputes arising from such transactions. The purchase price figures you see in the app are users' own records; they are not a statement of what a piece is worth.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. If you want to request deletion without installing the app, see the account deletion page.

Limitation of liability

Shelvo is in beta. In the event of data loss, interruption or discontinuation of the service, our liability is excluded and limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. If you want a copy of your data, write to support@shelvo.app from the email address registered to your account; we will send it within 30 days.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms. If you are using the service as a consumer, your right to apply to the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts where you are located is reserved; this clause does not limit that right. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, you also retain the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.

Changes

These terms may be updated. You will be informed in the app of significant changes.
